Privacy & cookies
The short version: we collect nothing unless you type your email into the sign-up box and tick the consent box. If you don't, we hold nothing about you at all.

What we collect
Nothing at all, unless you choose to give us your email address. There is no contact form and no comments section, and you can read every page and use the calculator without giving us anything.
The ownership cost calculator runs entirely in your browser. The figures you type are never sent to us and never stored, unless you sign up for guides, in which case five of them (purchase price, site fee, term, cost per year and cost per night) are saved alongside your address so we know what readers are modelling. Nothing you type is free text, so nothing identifying can end up in there.
If you sign up for new guides
We store your email address, the date, the exact consent wording you agreed to, and the calculator figures described above. We use it for one thing: emailing you when a new guide is published, no more than once a week.
Our lawful basis is your consent, under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 and the UK GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time by replying to any email, or by emailing adrian@bestholidayparks.co.uk, and we will delete your address.
We never sell, rent or share the list. Addresses are held in a Supabase database hosted in the EU (Ireland). We do not pass your address to Awin or to any holiday park operator, and no operator ever learns that you subscribed.
We keep addresses until you unsubscribe, or after three years without a single email being opened, whichever comes first.
Cookies and tracking
Lodge Ledger itself does not set any cookies.
Some links on this site are affiliate links to holiday park operators, marked (Ad). These run through the Awin affiliate network. If you click one, Awin sets a cookie in your browser so the operator can tell your enquiry or booking came from this site, and pay us a commission for it. That cookie lasts 30 days. It records the referral, not who you are, and we never see your name, contact details or booking.
If you would rather not be tracked, don't click the links marked (Ad). Go to the park's website directly instead. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Awin's own privacy information is published at awin.com/gb/legal/privacy-policy.
Visitor numbers
We count page views using Vercel Web Analytics, so we can tell which guides people find useful. It sets no cookies, does not follow you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you. It records the page, a coarse country, and the general device type. It does not record your IP address, your name, or anything that identifies you.
There is nothing to opt out of, because nothing about you is stored. If you would rather block it anyway, any standard content blocker will, and the site works exactly the same without it.
Your rights
If you never signed up, we hold no personal data about you and there is nothing to access, correct or erase. If you did sign up, you have the right to a copy of what we hold, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. Ask and we will do it, no questions. Email adrian@bestholidayparks.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
